Basic Online Timesheet Instructions For a Bi-Weekly Employee

  1. Click on Netscape.
  2. Go to PPPL Employee Services Homepage at URL location http://fileroom.pppl.gov/ (or at URL location http://www-local.pppl.gov/).
  3. Click On-line Timesheet.
  4. Enter your Social Security number and password in the appropriate boxes.
    Note: The first time you enter the system, type in your Social Security Number. Click the "Click Here to Submit" button. You will be prompted to register your password.
  5. Click the radio button to Display Employee Timesheet.
  6. Click the "Click Here to Submit" button.
  7. Select the radio button to Edit/process one day of work. Select a day below.
  8. Scroll down and click on the day you wish to edit.
  9. Click the Click Here to Execute button.
  10. Scroll to the Worked Time Section.
  11. Click on the box beneath Account and enter the cost center, work package and job to be charged.
  12. Click on the next box to enter the Shift worked. (1,2,3)
  13. Click on the box beneath the Day of the week and enter the hours worked at this account. Enter any overtime hours worked in the OT box.
  14. Scroll down the timesheet to Non-Productive Time Section and enter your time off.
  15. Click on the appropriate box description and enter the number of hours you were out.
  16. You may enter a comment in the comment section provided. This comment will appear on your timesheet.
  17. Activate the radio button to Save data and process another day. This will save your data and permit you to edit the next day you chose.
  18. Click the Click Here to Execute button.
  19. A new data entry screen will appear for the day you requested.
  20. Continue editing each day until you reach the end of the pay period.
  21. When you are ready to SIGN your timesheet and transmit for supervisor approval choose the radio button labeled Save data and transmit to your supervisor. This will save your data and send an email message to your supervisor.
  22. Click the Click Here to Execute button.
  23. Close your browser for password security purposes.

To look at Previous Timesheets (History)

  1. Follow instructions #1 through #4 on page one.
  2. Click on the radio button to Display Employee Timesheet History.
  3. Click the "Click Here to Submit" button.
  4. Click the radio button next to the pay period you wish to look at.
  5. Click the "Click Here to Submit" button.
  6. The timesheet will appear for viewing. You may print a copy if you wish.
  7. Click the browser BACK button to get back to the initial screen where your SSN and password are. From here you may now continue to enter data on your timesheet (if you have not yet SIGNED it and sent it to your supervisor for review).
  8. Click the radio button to Display Employee Timesheet.
  9. Click the "Click Here to Submit" button.
  10. Your timesheet input screen will now appear. Continue as you would with the instructions on page one.
